18 Months! (Ok 19 and a week but better late than never!)

Little man (I should say huge) went to the doctor for his 18 month appointment yesterday, which technically was his 19 and a week appointment but because we have been running a little late scheduling appointments it was a little late. Oh well! Anyway Dr. M was quite impressed with Jace, not only do his measurements give everyone a good laugh but his personality is pretty hysterical. He can pretty much understand everything we say and is getting really good at answering questions so when Dr. M asked him if he wanted his flu shot Jace quickly replied "NO!"

His measurements:
Height 36 inches (not even close to on the chart)
Weight 31 pounds (90%)

The Pumpkin Patch!

Yesterday afternoon was a beautiful fall day, the temperature was a perfect 70 degrees with not a cloud in site, so we decided to take advantage of this beautiful day by taking the kiddos to the local pumpkin patch. They had a blast running around and trying to find the perfect pumpkins. Of course we had to end it early because some little boy had to have a snack but, all in all it was a great afternoon of family time, something that is definitely hard to come by in this family!

Observation Day!

Elizabeth as most know is quite the attention hog, so it should come as no surprise that she loves to perform! And perform she did! While most of the other three year olds just froze during parent observation day, my girl danced her heart out! She was so pleased with herself and loved the fact the people clapped for the performance. I guess everyone was right Josh and I are in for some trouble!

Look at the concentration!
Mom are you watching?

Elizabeth's First Field Trip!

What a great Friday Elizabeth and I had!!!! We went to a local farm for her first school field trip. It was a great day of hayrides, cowboys, pumpkins and of course farm animals. As if that wasn't enough, her closest friend who recently dropped out of her preschool class, also made a surprise appearance. The two of them were inseparable all day and both got upset when it was time to go, I guess that is one of the disadvantages of being raised in the Marine Corp, everyone is constantly on the move!

Picking out the perfect one!

Grandpa's Favorite Activity....

Grandpa loves to golf, I mean loves to golf. Every Saturday morning he is on the course and even sometimes after work during the week. So during our visit he decided that we all were going to go Put Put golfing after dinner on night (we live only 2 minutes from the course). Elizabeth is definitely good, which I found kinda surprising that it could keep her attention for 18 Put Put holes, but she loved it. And lets face it the fact that she had a pink ball and club helps, she is a girly girl! Monster man Jace loved to run the course. Up and down all the hills, stealing balls and holding on to his club (thankfully plastic) proved to be just enough to keep him entertained while the rest of us played. Of course the biggest obstacle of the whole course was getting your ball around the toddler!

Pre - Daddy!

Thankfully this was the best ever reunion that we have had so far, the buses were right on time, it was first thing in the morning (not like 3:30am during our first deployment) the kids were in a great mood because it didn't interfere with any naps or meals, there were only about fifty Marines total (so it wasn't to overwhelming and we could find Daddy fast)and last but definitely not least we had Grandpa and Grandmommy there to entertain the kiddos. Oh and they also had doughnuts for Jace.....
