Our Prima Ballerina

In May, Elizabeth had her second dance recital, and lets just say she didn't disappoint! She amazes me with her outgoingness (not sure if this is a word, but it should be). She loves the attention and the fact that Grammie was here just made it extra special!

Happy Father's Day!

It has been so nice having Josh home to celebrate holidays, this September marks his first full year home since 2004, sad huh. We had a great day on Sunday celebrating Daddy. Nothing special just being a family, just the way Josh likes it.

Ava and Elizabeth's 4th Birthday Party

For Elizabeth's fourth birthday we decided to have a joint birthday party with one of her good friends from school Ava. We had the party a little before her birthday so we could catch everyone before they PCSed or went on vacation for the summer. Needless to say the girls had blast! We had it at a gym close to the house were we have been to many parties before but the girls seemed to truly love their party, I guess the presents helped! I still can't believe that Elizabeth is four, were has the time gone it seems like just yesterday.....

Were to Begin.....

So it has been a while...for those of you who don't know I went back to work full time at our beloved Paradise Point Child Care Center. It was a temporary position that wasn't really expected. I was/am the acting director due to PCS orders of the old director, so it has been my job for the past 5 months to get ready to close down over 45 years of history. We shut the doors for the last time on May 29, 2009 and ever since I have been buried in paperwork and getting the center ready for the big yard sale to sell everything that wasn't tied down. Thankfully the hard part is now over and I can get back to my passion, the kiddies!!! I have a few loose ends that I will have to handle over the next few months but for the most part I am a free bird! Here are some pictures of our last day!

Our Hero

Josh received a pretty high honor last month, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, for his actions during his last deployment. Needless to say we could not be prouder of our hero!

Finally After 39 Years!

January was a big month for Grandpa (Josh's' Dad), after 39 years, most with the US Postal Service, he retired. It was a great day filled with family. All three sons and all four grand kids made it down to celebrate his final day! We are so proud of his accomplishment and wish him the best in his retirement. Hopefully that means more time to spend with Grandpa and Grandma!

A Tractor and A Race Track what more could a boy want...

Jace has become obsessed with cars and tractors. While in the car he points out every car, truck and bus that pass us. He loves the movie "Cars" and will sit there and stare the whole time it is on. He loves them....almost as much as he loves his Daddy's John Deere. As soon as he is out of the car he runs straight for it, climbs up and sits there and pretends to drive. Because it is so high it often scare the daylights out of me, so Grammie solved this problem. She got Jace his own John Deere tractor so now when he gets out of the car he doesn't give his mother a heart attack!
