DADDY!!!!!!

We made it! After seven long months of separation Daddy came home yesterday morning! Elizabeth was sooooo excited and still refuses to leave Daddy's side. Jace was a little occupied with the donuts that were there to really notice Daddy at first, but when we got home and he realized that he had a wrestling partner he changed his mind. Everywhere Daddy goes their are two shadows behind him! YEAH!!!!

A Long Seven Months....

In honor of my wonderful Hubby's return this month, I thought I would list seven things he has missed since he has been gone the past seven months.

1. Jace's 1st Birthday, we celebrated a month early but he did miss the actual day...Plus our little guy has done so growing and developing since he left.

2. Elizabeth's hospital stay. Probably the hardest thing he missed while gone was not being home for his little girl when she was sick and scared.

3. The Annual Family Pig Pickin'. Definitely one of Hubby's favorite events. What is not to love family, a ton of food and carefree summer fun.

4. Elizabeth's third birthday. This was the first time he missed his princess's birthday in the past three years. Seeing her excitment over the swing set and her princess party was definitely something I wish he could have experienced.

5. Our big adventure to Maryland and Myrtle Beach. Seeing the kids play in the sand and fall in love with the water.

6. My knee surgery. Grammie said after this she is done with deployments (I don't know what she is talking about...2 pregnancies, one preemie, one Jace and a knee surgery, what's the big deal?)

7. Elizabeth's first day of preschool. The one positive out of this is knowing he will be home to see her first day of Pre - K. He is not going to believe how much she has changed in these past couple months, I am looking forward to their first face to face conversation!

After three long years of deploying we are finally at the end of what feels like a lifetime of worry and holding our breath. Only a little bit longer!!!!!!!

Back to School!

Today was Elizabeth's first day back to school. She is no longer in the wonderful Time for Twos, she is now in preschool. What a bittersweet day. Knowing that she is growing up so quickly and that next year we start pre-k, I can't imagine...also knowing that this is the centers last year of preschool, or for that matter being open breaks my heart. Paradise Point has been such a life saver for me over these past couple years it is sad to think that parents won't have this wonderful center to come to anymore....I am sure that this won't be the last you here about how much I love this place so I will move on. Anyho, Elizabeth's class is awesome!!! It is all kids who came out of the Time for Two's program which gives them all a little advantage! The kids happily left the parents at the gate and since most know each other there was a lot of giggling and smiles. I can't wait to see what this year brings for my sweet girl!

I Can Explain...

Long time no blog. I know that I have been missing in action for a couple of weeks but let me explain why, I had knee surgery. Yes that's right, I have two kids a husband who is overseas and a bum knee, go figure! Anyway thanks goes out to Grammie who again put her life on hold to come down and take care of me and the kiddos!

Of course I can't post without some pictures of the kids!
