Just had to post these pictures. Jace found his sunglasses and loves to put them on and take them off, over and over again. Elizabeth is into emotions now and this is "nice girl".

Well the kids and I were suppose to be in Maryland for Easter this year but Jace decided that he wanted us to stay home (see below). So Grammie came down to help celebrate Easter and Jace's first birthday. Grammie got Elizabeth a Tinkerbell wand and crown and the Jasmine costume. She decided that she would spend Easter as Tinkerbell and stayed in costume all day, she is such a girl. We really wish that we could have been at Uncle Adam's and Aunt Lynnie's enjoying the Italian feast she was preparing and spending some time with our extended family but at least we had Grammie. Hope you all had a happy Easter!
It was beautiful on Saturday so Grammie and Elizabeth got to play outside all afternoon. (Don't mind poor Elizabeth's hair she didn't want to get it fixed after her nap) Enjoy the pictures!

Thursday after Elizabeth's Easter Party I noticed poor Jace had a little fever, it was only 101, so I gave him some Motrin and put him down for his nap and figured I would take him to the doctor the next morning. It seemed like a good plan, but Jace had something else in mind...he woke up from his nap screaming, which he never does and when I went to get him he was burning up. When I took his temperature this time it was 103. I started to worry a little because I had just gave him his medicine about 2 and a half hours ago and his fever had gotten worse, but by this time it was to late to take him to the doctor so I got him in a tepid bath and figured that would bring it down. Jace loves to take baths, if he could stay in all evening he would happily, but this time he was miserable which I again thought was just from the fever. When I got him out I took his temperature again and it was still 103. Ten minutes later it hit 105 and we were out the door. I dropped off Elizabeth at a neighbors and headed to the ER. Once we got there they gave him some more Tylenol and the waiting began. I should mention that we got there around 5:30, by 9:30 we still hadn't been seen and Jaces' fever hadn't returned, and all the poor little guy wanted to do was go to sleep so we left. Of course I was up every hour that night checking his fever and giving him medicine but the fever thankfully didn't return. The next day we went to the Doctor to find out my poor boy has strep throat, double pink eye and bronchitis. Poor baby! Thank goodness for Antibiotics, he is doing much better now.

Elizabeth loves the slide at school. She is always talking about going down the big girl slide and today I saw her in action! Here are a couple of pictures of her new favorite thing!

Today was Elizabeth's Easter Party at school, and for 2 years it was a big day. They had a special Easter cookie and a Easter Egg Hunt. Another mom and I, hide about eighty eggs all together thinking that we would be the ones who would have to go and pick them all up, knowing what attention spans 2 year olds have we figured there was no way that they would find all the eggs....the little vaulters found all of them in less than 5 minutes!!! Who knew! I guess that proves you never know what a 2 year old is capable of....

In honor of our little guy turning one this week, here are some pictures of the past year. What a wonderful year it has been, we can't wait to see what the next year will bring for you! We love you!

It has definitely been busy around here since Josh left, which is helping make the time go by faster (can you believe it has already been three weeks). Between Elizabeth's school and dancing classes plus all the stuff I have been doing around the house we haven't had much free time lately. I decided that I couldn't stand to see white walls anymore in our living room and hall so got the brillant idea to paint and well it took awhile....I did a wall a day when the kids went down for their naps and let me tell you it may not look very big but when your painting it sure is a lot bigger than you think....Scott (Josh's best friend) came up on Saturday to help me finish, thank you Scott, we have vaulted ceilings and only a six foot ladder....He also hung about a million shelves and got to play with the kids, which they loved. Sunday it was off to a birthday party at a local gym for kids, and I really wish there was two of me...Elizabeth had a blast running and climbing and playing with kids all around her age and Jace was everywhere...I truly think I got more of a work out than they did, we all slept very well last night. Here are some pictures of the last week, hopefully this week is a little less crazy (though it isn't looking good already).
Sorry it has been CRAZY around this house! Enjoy some pictures of the kids until I have time to post!
