This is Elizabeth's new favorite song. Grammie taught it to her on her last visit and it definitely fits my girl!

This is the question that I get asked every morning when I get Elizabeth out of bed. Not good morning, not I'm hungry, or I want some juice, always can we go outside.....The answer is almost always yes after we get dressed and eat breakfast, here is the past week in pictures.
Last Saturday was Elizabeth's first, of what I hope is many to come, dance recital. She did an amazing job, didn't miss a beat! She had a great audience of Grammie, Mr. Scott and of course Mommy and Jace and loved all the attention she got. She even received a special treat from Daddy, two bright pink roses. We couldn't take pictures on Saturday and I videotape the rehearsal so there aren't many pictures, but here she is in all her glory!! (The women in the picture is Miss Jennifer, Elizabeth's dance teacher)
Jace is a typical boy, he loves to make a mess, the messier the better. After cleaning everything he eats out of his hair after every meal I decided it was time for a change...It is summer, and he is the son of a Marine, so he got buzzed! Sorry but he is seriously cute!!!!
So I finally did it...I took that last step and acknowledged that I am no longer that super cool twenty something and am now a thirty something mother of two toddlers. That's right I traded in my beloved Tahoe for a Minivan. Laugh if you want but this thing is AWESOME! It has everything DVD, Leather, Sunroof, 6 CD Changer......everything. Elizabeth got into the car this morning by herself and sat in her car seat and said, "Mommy I love this car". It is definitely not about me anymore.
I have the most amazing role model, my Mom. She is always been there for me and my family even without asking. She has never once let me down. Her love has always been unconditional. She has support my every decision (even the insanely bad ones) and has never said I told you so. She is my best friend and the person I look up to most in this world. I nag her at least three times a day (on a slow day) and she very rarely gets annoyed at my calling because I need to talk to someone other than a three year old. I truly hope that I can become the kind of mother she has always been for me. Thank you Mom, I can't tell you how much I appreciate and love you. Happy Mother's Day!
The kids have been going stir crazy in the house lately and since our new swing set isn't being assemble until some little girl turns three, I figured it was time to invest in some new outdoor toys. I found these cars at the Exchange (military for department store) and thought this might work as a temporary fix. Little did I know that being in there cars is all both of them would want to do. First thing in the morning Elizabeth asks if it is time to play with her "pretty car" and as soon as I put Jace's shoes on he is at the door trying his hardest to get it open. He hasn't quite mastered how to work his yet (he can only go in reverse) but I think he will have it mastered in no time. Needless to say we were outside all weekend long!
Since the beginning of the school year Rhyme, Rhythm & Motion class has been one of Elizabeth's favorite activities. She calls it "dancing class", every Wednesday morning we go to see Mrs. Jennifer and the "kids" to run and play for an hour. This past Wednesday marks the end of the year for "dancing class" with her recital on Saturday. It will be a big disappointment next Wednesday morning when Elizabeth wakes up and discovers that there is no more "dance". She has now graduated to baby ballet and will start that in August, the next three months are going to be a very long!
This weekend Grandpoppy and Grandmommy (Josh's Parents) came for a visit. Both kids are in love with Grandpoppy, he NEVER tells them no and always gives them anything they want, so whats not to love. Jace would not even come to me, he only wanted Grandpoppy and Elizabeth wasn't much better. They both did so much to help me out this weekend I can't even begin to say thank you enough, between watching the kids so I could go to the community yard sale, to helping get all the stuff together for the sale, to spraying the yard for fire ants they helped in every way possible and I am really grateful and lucky to have such wonderful in laws.
Finally, it was a quiet week around the house. Nobody got sick (knock on wood), everyone (except Daddy) was home and we actually got to do our normal routine. Now if I can only repeat this about 20 more times that would be great and hopefully Daddy will be home!! I know wishful thinking!
