Bye Bye Daddy!
It is that time again! Yes Josh left yesterday for beautiful Afghanistan, for what we think will only be a short seven month deployment (I will believe it in October). Though it was sad to see him go, we have had a wonderful couple of weeks of family time that we can carry with us over the next couple of months! From Jace's party to going to Build a Bear and everything in between we definitely made these last couple of weeks count! We are so proud of you Daddy and can't wait to be a family of four again. WE LOVE YOU and will MISS YOU!!!!

Crash and Burn
Today in NC it was beautiful, so Elizabeth, Jace and I decided to wait for her teacher outside by the gate and enjoy some fresh air. I wasn't the only parent with this bright idea though, so as we were all patiently waiting the kids got a bit bored (as we all know two year olds do) and decided to do a little running around. Elizabeth was the one casualty...or should I say her lip.....

Jace's Almost 1st Birthday Party!
Josh and I decided to celebrate Jace's first birthday a little early do to Josh leaving. Plus it gave Josh the opportunity to see all the people he loves one more time before he leaves. It was a great day full of fun and family and of course a ton of food! Jace had a blast with his own personalized cake just for him, I love first birthday party's when the baby becomes a mess discovering sugar for the first time! Jace definitely didn't disappoint, he made a huge mess and loved every second of it! Thanks to everyone who came and made that day such a wonderful time for our family. We love you all so much!
Watch Out...He is on the Move!
That's rigth my baby is walking!!! I can't believe it...he just all the sudden took off. Josh is soooo excited that he got to see his little man walk before left, he missed seeing Elizabeth walk by a week so this was really something he wanted to see. The video doesn't really do him justice, he is pretty much just walking across the room on his own whenever he feels like it, but it is hard to catch the little sucker! Yeah Jace!
Some Much to Blog So Little Time....
We have been extra busy around here lately! Most of you know that Josh is getting ready to deploy again (the third time in three years) so like always I get frantic and want to get everything around the house done before he leaves. Here is a list of projects we have completed in the last week.
It all started with Jace's room. I loved the paint color (my great in laws painted for me while I was pregnant in Maryland during the last deployment) but I thought the room was boring. So I got a great idea to add a chair rail, then of course that wasn't enough I had to add the stripes. I am so glad I did though because the room went from boring to fab, I love the way it turned out and the picture doesn't really do it justice.
Next it was on to Elizabeth's room. Her room has been ignored pretty much since we moved back in May with the exception of us adding her big girl bed and her nightstand and dresser. I had everything on the walls from when she was a baby, which I hung myself (so you can imagine the holes that I left). So needless to say she needed a fresh coat of paint and a little sprucing up. Of course she had to help.
Finally we decided to do something with our room. We left we deserved a little something nice for ourselves since most everything is about the kids now a days, so we bought the most heavenly new mattress along with a new flat screen TV, plus we got all new bedding and finally painted our bathroom. What a difference....I haven't taken a ton of pictures of our room because it is still not completely done but here are a few pictures of Elizabeth enjoying it, she loves watching the picture (TV) during cartoon time....

It's been a while...
Haven't had much time to blog lately due to the outbreak of illnesses.....Jace caught the stomach flu, then Daddy caught the stomach flu, then Elizabeth caught the stomach flu....It was not a fun time in this house, thankfully I managed to escape but I swear for a soild week all I did was clean up throw up. YUCK!!! Poor Jace had it the longest, almost a full week during which time he barely ate and pretty much just wanted to nurse, needless to say the weaning is going wonderful. Thankfully everyone is back to normal and back to our daily routines. Here are a couple of pictures that were taken over the past two weeks. Enjoy!
